Bringing chemists together

A person in a lab coat and blue gloves forms a heart shape with their hands, next to the ACS logo and text "Chemistry for Life".

About the project

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1876, which champions chemistry, its practitioners, and the global community of ACS members. When ACS wanted to launch a campaign to attract new members, it turned to HDMZ. Our team created a comprehensive campaign built around the theme “You belong here” to highlight the community of professionals ACS has brought together. We designed a variety of advertising assets, including banners and videos, produced custom photography for the ads, and arranged their placement in a variety of trusted, relevant media — all working together to draw in new members and make them feel welcome at ACS.

Two smartphones display scientific content: one shows ResearchGate and an ACS ad, the other Scientific American with an ACS ad.
Two colleagues, a man and a woman, are working together at a computer in a modern office or lab setting.
Two scientists in lab coats and purple gloves work with laboratory equipment, one holding a bag of small, light-colored pellets.
Two men, one pointing, look at a blue screen with "YOU BELONG HERE." text. The screen also displays "acs.org/membership."
A smiling woman in lab gear forms a heart with her hands. Text: "YOU BELONG HERE. Member since 2019. ACS Chemistry for Life. AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY. JOIN US."
